Ugly bumpers

Yep. The bumpers need some major help. I was able the get the mounts off of them with the help of a lot of Liquid Wrench and some heavy wrenching.

Ready for paint

The body is back on the pan. New pan gasket and some gooey black gasket sealer. Had a little trouble getting some of the body bolts lined up but after some pushing around they went in.

Ok.. Here it is. This is my first car. Not how I originally got it but how it ended up after a few years of work on it. I think the pic was taken a few days after I got it painted. Thanks sis for the pic. Good times. love ya.

Bug-In 34 Fontana FUN!

Sunday was a blast. Headed down to the California Speedway in Fontana for Bug-In 34. Races were a little slow at getting going due to a lot of oil downs. But they were a blast to watch. Here is some video footage from the drag racing. Man, my wifes little camera does a darn good job taking short vids. Oh. Bought a distrubutor and found some wheels that I can't decide on. Which one do you think the left ones or the right one below?

Off to the races

Didn't get the body back on the pan today. Had to work. UGH. Tomorrow is Bug-In 34. Car show and VW drag racing! I haven't been to one of the since forever. I'll be keeping an eye out for a color to paint the little Notch.
